Come along to the first ever Moorooduc Heritage Festival! There will be heaps of family friendly activities as well as plenty for the blokes to look and admire at! The key focus of the festival will be steam powered machinery and how it was originally used, with the weekend being jam packed with practical demonstrations from the Heritage Draught Horse Club, Australian Blacksmiths Association, Melbourne Steam Traction Engine Club and the Mornington Railway! Come see how railway track was laid with horses and lots of manual labour! Come and see massive earth movers moving massive mounds of dirt! Come and see steam rollers and traction engine parade around the grounds with the mesmerizing rotation of the flywheel. We will also be offering the amazing opportunity to drive one of the Mornington Railway's heritage diesel electric locomotives for the amazing price of $50! As well as the opportunity to drive a train, if you would prefer to be a passenger, we have trains departing Moorooduc station on Saturday at 10:30am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm and on Sunday as per our usual timetable at 10:30am, 11:55am, 1:45pm and 3:10pm. We highly recommend the 5:00pm train to experience the magic of a twilight train and a magnificent sunset over the Mornington Peninsula. On your return to Moorooduc you'll be treated to a wide variety of food trucks; an event not to be missed for the whole family! Ticket prices: We have 3 ticketing packages available: 1. Full Festival Access! The Full Festival Access ticket provides you with full access to the Moorooduc Heritage Festival as well as a return ticket from Moorooduc - Mornington on the Mornington Railway. Moorooduc Heritage Festival Grounds Access The Moorooduc Heritage Festival Grounds ticket will give you free roam around all our working exhibits and live heritage demonstrations. From steam engines to tractors to horses! You can see it all! Adult: $15 Child/Concession: $5 Family: $40 3. Mornington Railway Ticket to Ride! All aboard the Mornington Railways heritage train from Moorooduc to Mornington! Hop aboard our beautifully restored carriages for a nostalgic trip to Mornington.
